My name is George Ramos and I live in Portland, OR. I am a woodworker, avid cyclist and lover of vintage steel bikes. I restore vintage road bikes and use them as they're intended so even though they're shiny they do get ridden, never hung on a wall.
A couple of years ago I decided to look for a piece of jewelry that might express my passion for cycling. I searched high and low and found very little of real interest.
Years ago I was an antique dealer in NYC with my dad. I recalled a very old soccer medal I had seen with its intricately carved players vying for the ball. I was impressed with the detail and level of quality in the carving. I decided to look for something like that in the cycling realm and came across these awesome designs. The first and my personal favorite is the "Guardian Angel" piece which depicts the Goddess Nike floating behind a hard riding cyclist.
I had 20 pieces cast and quickly sold them out. Now, over a year later I've finally been able to find a 2 quality foundries to create the pieces for me so I can offer them to you. They are hand cast in Portland, OR of solid Sterling silver. you will not be disappointed in the quality and feel of these pieces.
Thank you for looking, please feel free to e-mail me at [email protected] if you have any questions. I am also looking for artists and designers to submit new designs and if yours is selected I will have it sculpted, cast and added to the line. You will receive a 15% royalty for each one sold plus the prototype will be yours for free. E-mail me for more info.
